Once the DBPR approves your application, you have three hours to complete the exam. Unlike the Real Estate exam, the CAM exam is strictly based on the Florida Statutes and the administrative rules governing Community Association Management.

State and Federal Laws (20%): Focuses on Florida Statutes 718 (Condos), 719 (Co-ops), 720 (HOAs), and 721 (Timeshares).
Budget & Financials (25%): Covers reserve funding, financial reporting deadlines, and assessment collection.
Meetings & Elections (25%): Tests your knowledge of quorum requirements, voting procedures, and notice requirements for Board and Member meetings.
Insurance & Physical Property (15%): Covers mandatory insurance coverage types and maintenance responsibilities.
Human Resources & Professional Conduct (15%): Focuses on the "Standards of Conduct" and the relationship between the CAM and the Board of Directors.
What to Bring to Pearson VUE
If you do not have the following, you will be denied entry and lose your exam fee:
Two Forms of ID: Both must be signed; one must be a government-issued photo ID.
Course Completion Certificate: You should have a copy of your 16-hour certificate from Prolicense Florida.
Authorization Email: A copy of your "Authorization to Test" (ATT) from the DBPR.
Retake Policy
If you do not pass on your first attempt:
24-Hour Wait: You must wait 24 hours before you can reschedule.
Re-examination Fee: You must pay the Pearson VUE fee again (approx. $50).
Certificate Validity: Your 16-hour course certificate is valid for one year from the date of completion. You must pass the state exam before it expires.
