All Florida Community Association Manager (CAM) licenses expire on September 30th of even-numbered years (e.g., 2024, 2026). To renew your license, you must complete your state-mandated Continuing Education (CE) credits and pay your renewal fee before this deadline.
Credit Hour Requirements
For most licensees, the requirement is 15 credit hours per renewal cycle. However, if you manage Homeowners' Associations (HOAs), you are subject to additional requirements (totaling 17 hours).
Standard 15-Hour Breakdown (Non-HOA Managers)
3 Hours: Legal Updates (LU)
3 Hours: Insurance & Financial Management (IFM)
3 Hours: Operation of Physical Property (OPP)
3 Hours: Human Resources (HR)
3 Hours: Elective (General CAM Topics)
HOA Manager Requirements (17 Hours Total)
If you manage a Homeowners' Association, Florida law requires specific training. Your "Elective" hours are replaced and supplemented to meet a 5-hour HOA-specific mandate:
3 Hours: HOA Recordkeeping (Replaces the standard "Elective")
+2 Hours: HOA Governance/Rules (Additional "Optional" credits)
Total: 17 Hours.
